Being someone who lives on the North Side, I’m, by default, a Cubs fan.

And, in all honesty, I’m not really a major Cubs fan, either — I’m just not normally a baseball fan.

That having been said, it’s a very proud evening to be a Chicagoan — our first World Series win in 88 years.

We’re going to be a happy city for the next few days.

And I must admit I take particular joy in the fact that my city beat the pants off Houston in particular. I’m no fan of the state that gave Dubya his rise to glory.
