I’ve done a few things that should improve the page’s rendering time. I moved the Google Analytics code to the footer (Google used to recommend putting it in the header, which is why most of the Internet is so slow nowadays — they now recommend putting it in the footer). I also removed the “view blog reactions” Technorati link for each blog entry (it was to the right of the “# Comments”, below the title) — I didn’t have many blog reactions, and it had to run out to embed.technorati.com a few million times before finishing the page render.
