15 Jul 07 iTunes Finally Adds “Float on Top” for Its Video Display!
I just discovered a rather wonderful thing Apple implemented that I’ve been wanting for a very long time. In iTunes, there’s an option, “Keep Miniplayer on top of all other windows.” Now, before, it seemed to only apply to the little mini control pad that shows up when you minimize iTunes (using the green button).
However, now, when that option is enabled, iTunes’ video window stays on top as well — which is great for when you want to watch something in your iTunes video collection but want to be doing other stuff, too.
I have been dying for Apple to implement this for a long time. Finally!

With me, it’s the reverse: I would like the miniplayer out of the way, since I use Synergy for iTunes control, but the video. I agree with the separate-preference idea, but I’m just so friggin’ ecstatic that it was added.
