I just found, courtesy of Metafilter, one of the most creepiest “viral ad campaigns” I’ve ever come across. How would you like to make a friend of yours think, quite literally and with convincing reality, that he or she is the next target of a serial killer? For example, here’s one targeted to me. The reference to the cell phone — the site will send you a message from the killer as well. And the note they find can be personalized with whatever you want to write upon it.

The viral ad campaign is for the British airing of Dexter on FX. Dexter is a television series (on Showtime here in the States) starring “serial killer Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensics analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami-Dade Police Department.”
